Learning with the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence: harnessing their potential

#artificialintelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are working together to transform the education industry. With students being given the chance to receive personalized guidance from teachers or other knowledgeable sources boasting years of experience in their fields, AI and IoT are taking education into bold new territory. Technologies not only secure independence for students, but also facilitate interaction between teachers and students through the use of new platforms and applications designed to promote learning based on what's appealing to today's youth seeking assurance they can succeed in their journeys into the future. Research shows there's significant potential for growth in the global AI in the Education sector and here's some background detail on it. How will AI and IoT be used to make the education industry more efficient?

AIoT: the Perfect Union Between the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence

#artificialintelligence

Imagine Industrial IoT as the nervous system of a company: it is a network of sensors that collects valuable information from all corners of a production plant and stores it in a repository for data analysis and exploitation. This network is necessary to measure and obtain data in order to make informed decisions. We always talk about making good decisions based on reliable information, but although it may sound obvious, it is not always that easy to achieve that goal. In this article, we will go a bit beyond IoT and will focus on the data and how to leverage it with AIoT and data analytics. We'll be discussing specifically the analysis phase, the process that turns data first into information and then into knowledge (sometimes also referred to as business logic). In the end, however, we won't stray far from the core subject of IoT, because for us IoT without Big Data is meaningless.

How insurance can help build trust in artificial intelligence

On the factory floor, machine downtime is a disaster – production can slow to a crawl or a complete stop, wasting precious time and money. To dodge downtime, manufacturers typically plan rigorous maintenance regimes – fixing problems before they even occur. That's great for keeping production running at full pace, but costly in terms of having the right experts and spare parts to hand at all times. Preventative maintenance is labour intensive and expensive. Have faith in data – and artificial intelligence.

Digital Slavery: 5G, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence

Furthermore, it is like a hydra-headed monster with many tentacles and expressions, but we must never lose sight of the common purpose of all: kill the world's economic system of Capitalism and Free Enterprise and replace it with the vacuous economic system, Sustainable Development. Since Technocracy is a resource-based economic system, people like you and I are considered as mere resources on the same level as livestock on a ranch. If people are just animals who selfishly consume resources, then they must be monitored, managed and limited in their consumption. To this end, Technocracy originally called for total surveillance of all people, all consumption, all production and all energy consumed in every activity. The outcome was to control all consumption and production.

Baidu and Xiaomi are working together on internet of things and artificial intelligence

#artificialintelligence

Baidu, China's answer to Google, and Xiaomi, which has modeled itself on the success of the America's most successful technology manufacturer in Apple, have announced a strategic partnership to tackle two emerging technologies, internet of things and artificial intelligence. Announced today at Xiaomi's first developer conference in Beijing, the alliance is a marriage between the third most valuable publicly traded Chinese technology company in Baidu and one of the world's most valuable private firms, Xiaomi. Clocking in with a market capitalization of $86 billion, Baidu is no slouch on the global technology stage -- with AI and deep learning among its core focuses -- while Xiaomi has become a key player in China and made inroads in emerging markets like India thanks to its affordable phones and smart devices which punch well above their price tag. The duo are announcing a collaboration for the first time, but TechCrunch understands that Baidu's conversational operating system -- DuerOS -- is already present in some Xiaomi hardware. That's little known because it was left unbranded, but now the companies have made their partnership official.

Consumer trust in a data-driven world

#artificialintelligence

Whether we search for recipes, chatting with friends or pay via the web, we create massive amounts of data. Clever use of this information forms the basis for future digital services. With the development of Internet of things and artificial intelligence, the amount of data will increase dramatically, and this data is considered as the raw material in the digital economy. The value attached to mobile payments are not necessarily transactional revenue, but ownership of customer data. A report by Deutsche Bank confirms this and shows that innovation in mobile payments will open up for new products based on customer data.
